AERIAL YOGA
AERIAL YOGA
To practise Aerial Yoga it is necessary the use of an hammock.
This wonderful tool has been created especially for this practice;
there are different type and materials on the market
which is why it is important to evaluate its quality and elasticity before purchase.
The hammock can be attached to the ceiling or to mobile devices made especially for aerial yoga.
In this practice the Asanas from traditional yoga are performed using gravity
as a tool of decompression and to deepen the pose.
This requires strength, control and coordination yet always supported and guided by the hammock which provides wonderful feedback on body posture.
Aerial yoga offers a variety of benefits, including increased body flexibility, stability, and balance.
Let's see in detail the benefits of this practice:
Increased flexibility:The hammock offers support to perform yoga postures more comfortably and deeply,
helping to stretch muscles therefore improve flexibility.
Muscle strengthening: Using this support requires more control of the body and movements and this helps to strengthen the muscles.
Stress Reduction: Aerial yoga is a meditative practice that helps focus on the breath and reduce stress and anxiety levels.
Posture Improvement: Helps improve posture and body alignment, reducing muscle and joint pain.
Improved Blood Circulation: Exercise helps stimulate blood circulation, improving blood oxygenation and cardiovascular system function.
Strengthening of the deep abdominal muscles (core): by performing the exercises in the air, our body requires a greater effort and balance to keep the body stable leading to greater activation and therefore development of these deep stability muscles.
Let's also not forget that aerial yoga is also fun and playful which offers benefits to the body but also to the mind.
Feeling wrapped up in the fabric gives a sense of protection and support especially in the relaxation phase allowing the body to achieve a feeling of deep inner calm.
The classes are structured according to the degree of strength and stability of the practitioner,
arriving with time to explore inversion positions.
These allow a wonderful sensation of decompression in the spine
to relieve back pain,
to release the pressure that is created at the level of the discs which are located between one vertebra and another, thus improving the mobility and flexibility of the spine.
What else to say?
It's your time to spread your wings and FLY !
